God Loves Numbers
Have you noticed how often numbers appear in the Bible? Numbers are everywhere.
Some sources suggest that, on average, one out of every five verses in the Bible contains a number. Edward F. Vallowe, in his book Biblical Mathematics, writes:
“Only to the students of the Word, those to whom God’s Spirit has given spiritual insight, will the code be plain. God is ‘The Great Geometrician’ and does everything after a plan by number, weight, and measure.”
This focus on numbers is not unique to the Bible.
Kabbalah, Hindu scriptures, and the Quran also contain a significant amount of numerical meaning.
Creation and the Power of Numbers
In the book of Genesis, we read about God’s creation of the world.
The first creation account is divided into seven days:
- Day 1: Light
- Day 2: The sky
- Day 3: Earth, seas, and vegetation
- Day 4: The Sun and Moon
- Day 5: Animals of the air and sea
- Day 6: Land animals and humans
These may not be literal human or earthly days. Instead, they can be understood as seven stages in the creation of the entire cosmos. Non-Abrahamic faiths offer similar explanations.
At the same time, scientists are still trying to understand how the universe began. First came the Big Bang Theory, and now there are many others, such as:
- Cosmic Inflation Theory
- Big Freeze Theory
- Big Rip Theory
We are getting closer to discovering the truth about how existence began. It is a very exciting time.
No matter which theory or faith you lean toward, one thing is clear:
Everything was precisely planned, calculated, and manifested—by numbers.

Numbers, Science, and Feng Shui
I am not a scientist or a mathematician, but I am deeply fascinated by numbers and science. That may be why I am so drawn to Feng Shui and how it works.
When I visit a client’s home, they often ask, “How is my house?”
My response is always, “I have to check the numbers.”
We try to understand our space, our environment, our energy, and even our lives through numbers and science, don’t we?
Once, when I was still searching for God and His existence, I met a friend who was a mathematician. He told me that he used to not believe in God, but mathematics eventually proved him wrong.
I can relate to that experience as I continue to peel back the layers of the intricate design of the cosmos through Feng Shui.

Feng Shui, Energy, and Modern Science
Feng Shui explores how energy flows through space to create harmony and well-being.
It is rooted in ancient wisdom and also connects to quantum physics, an advanced field of modern science. At first glance, Feng Shui and quantum physics may seem very different. However, both share the same idea:
- Invisible energy plays a powerful role in shaping our world
- Everything is cosmically connected
- When we change our environment, we change the energy around us
- These changes can better support our lives
In quantum physics, even the smallest particles can influence each other from a distance.
Traditional science focused mainly on the physical world. Modern science, however, is now revealing surprising insights about energy—insights that align closely with the principles of Feng Shui.
Flying Star Feng Shui and Time Cycles
The system I practice is Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing).
This is a sophisticated classical method that analyzes how time, space, and direction interact. A key element of this system is time, which explains how energy changes over periods.
Unlike simpler systems that ignore time, Flying Star Feng Shui reveals energies that shift:
- Annually
- Monthly
- Even daily
This allows for precise adjustments and remedies to harmonize energy flow.
The Feng Shui year is based on the Solar Chinese/Japanese calendar, which consists of 24 small seasons (sekki). These seasons are 15 degrees apart along the sun’s path. Typically, the Feng Shui New Year begins on February 4 (sometimes February 3).
The 20-Year Periods and the Sexagenary Cycle
In Feng Shui, time is divided into 20-year cycles, called Periods, or Yun.
- One Period = 20 years
- 9 Periods make up a Grand Cycle
- A Grand Cycle spans 180 years
Feng Shui also uses the 60 Jia Zi (甲子), known as the Sexagenary Cycle (六十干支 or 十干十二支 In Japanese). This is a 60-year calendar system based on combinations of:
- 10 Heavenly Stems
- 12 Earthly Branches
These concepts come from ancient Chinese philosophy, including Yin-Yang, the Five Elements, and the I Ching.
Among the Heavenly Stems:
- 5 are yin
- 5 are yang
Among the Earthly Branches:
- 6 are yin
- 6 are yang
Only stems and branches of the same polarity can pair together.
This creates:
- 30 yin combinations
- 30 yang combinations
- 60 total combinations
In Japan, this system was introduced during the Edo period. Growing up in a small town in Japan, I remember my grandmother frequently referencing these calendar notes.

2026: The Year of the Yang Fire Horse
So, what does Flying Star Feng Shui tell us about 2026?
2026 is the Year of the Yang Fire Horse.
This is a rare and powerful energy combination:
Yang Fire over Yang Horse.
It is the 43rd combination of the Sexagenary Cycle. The Horse is a midsummer zodiac sign and is also associated with the Fire element.
When Fire meets the Horse, the year carries strong energy of:
- Movement
- Passion
- Ambition
- Rapid change
The last Yang Fire Horse year was 1966–1967, during Period 6. At that time, the Metal energy of Period 6 somewhat weakened the Fire, while also creating tension and pivotal moments for growth.
In contrast, 2026 occurs during the current Period 9, which is also a Fire period. This means Fire energy will be greatly amplified—like the most intense part of a fire wave.
We may experience:
- Burning down and rising from the ashes
- Dismantling and restructuring of society and government
The energy of the year will feel:
- Fast
- Bright
- Emotional
- Inspired
- At times, intense
Things may move very quickly. Opportunities can appear suddenly, and situations may change just as fast.
Areas most affected include:
- Technology
- Politics
- Science
- Social norms
Industries likely to be significantly impacted include:
- Technology
- Real estate
- Female-based and female-forward businesses
Navigating the Fire Horse Year
The key to success in this fast-moving energy is staying grounded.
Keeping your heart and mind steady is essential. When you maintain your connection with the Divine Heart, the Fire Horse year becomes a powerful ally for growth and transformation.
